Privacy Policy

Destination Bingo (“we”, “our”, the “app”) is a travel bingo app run by James Maryan, operating from the Australian Capital Territory, Australia. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what rights you have over it.
What we collect
- Your email address — required to sign in. Used only for authentication and to send sign-in links or password resets.
- A display name that you choose — shown to other members of trips you join.
- Trip data you create — city, bingo items, invite code.
- Photos you upload to mark bingo items as tasted. Stored securely and only visible to other members of the same trip.
- If you sign in with Google: your name, email address, and public profile picture are received from Google. We do not request or store any other Google data.
What we do not collect
- Location data of any kind.
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs.
- Payment information. The app is free.
- We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
Where your data is stored
Data is stored with the following service providers, who act as processors on our behalf:
- Supabase (EU-West, London region) — database, authentication, and photo storage.
- Vercel — serves the application.
- Resend — sends authentication emails on our behalf.
- Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google.
How long we keep it
Your data is retained for as long as you have an active account. If you delete a trip, all trip data (members, items, photos) is deleted immediately. If you delete your account or ask us to, your account and all data associated with it will be removed within 30 days.
Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and its Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data. If you're in the EU or UK, you have equivalent rights under the GDPR. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@destinationbingo.app. We'll respond within 30 days.
Age restriction
The app is intended for users aged 16 and over. If you are under 16, please do not use the app.
Changes to this policy
If we materially change how we handle your data, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above.
